Sprint Door Activation systems
| |
A range of activation systems can be supplied with Sprint doors: |
| |

Manual
The manual activation system has push button pads as standard. Pull cord and key-operated switches are also available. |
Induction loops
Induction loops open the door automatically. Set in the floor on one or both sides of the door, they are tuned to give the best results for the type of traffic. The sensors can be adjusted to cut out signals from passing cross traffic.
| |
Photocells
Photocells trigger the door to open or close as well as acting as a safety feature. They can be mounted onto handrails or bollards some distance from the door depending on the speed of the traffic.
Radar
The radar beam can be used to trigger the opening and closing of the door or as a safety feature. It is normally fitted above or to the side of the door opening and detects movement by traffic or pedestrians. It has a 10m range.
| |
Radio or infrared transmitters
These hand-held or truck-mounted transmitters work in conjunction with receivers normally located within the door control panel. Preset coded combinations mean that doors can only be operated by authorised personnel.
Air lock
A pair of doors can be set to operate in sequence so that only one door is open at a time. Automatic or manual control can be used in combination with traffic lights or audible alarms.
| |
Traffic lights and warning lights
Traffic lights and warning lights can be linked to door operation. Audible alarms can indicate traffic approach or door movement.
